4 Rules for Good Web Design Notes

#1 – Symmetrical is bad. More interesting and complex layouts are often asymmetrical.

#2 – White space is good. White spaces is a good relief for the eye, it helps us focus on what is important.

#3 – Less is more. Too much stuff (links, graphics, photos, etc.) can cause confusion and leave the website looking unorganized.

#4- Contrast is key. You can have contrast of color, texture, direction, position, space and gravity. All of these things will help make the website not only look better but more organized and will help to guide the eye around the page if used well.
