Notes 9/29

  • To add text to one of the 3 blocks in your page you choose where you want the text and then to into that part which is one of the 3 <div class=”main_location goes here”>, under that you’ll do <p> go down one line and put your text then on the line below that put your </p> ending tag
  • If you want to move the menu at the top you’ll go to the nav in the style css and do the code below (margin and padding) and get the result below that. No specific number value you just have to play around

  • If you want more paragraphs in a body of text you just have to add another <p> text </p>
  • To adjust padding on a body of text go to your style css and do the code (where it says p{ under main left )below to get the result under thatScreen Shot 2016-09-29 at 10.04.20 AM.pngScreen Shot 2016-09-29 at 10.05.57 AM.png
  • To add an image in a section of the main part you just take out the background color and replace with background image
  • To add a headline between paragraphs you’ll go between the two <p> text </p> sections and ass an <h#> (we used 4) and type your headline and do </h#> in the source code

  • Then go to style css and do the code below under where you adjusted the p{ text

  • Under the paragraph part in the style css you can change the line height and the spacing(when you type line the options will come up)
  • To add an image on the left side and take out the middle part of the main part you will just delete the main center sections on the source code and the style css. On the style css you double the width from 400 to 800. Make sure your image is the right size (800 x 625 px) then do the code below on the source code pageScreen Shot 2016-09-29 at 10.55.56 AM.png
